EXPERIENCE

Research and Professional Experience

My internships have allowed me to experience scientific work outside the classroom and understand how research is conducted in professional environments.

Institute of Natural Resources and Environment

Research Intern
June 18–29, 2026

During this internship, I was introduced to research related to natural resources and environmental science. The experience allowed me to observe how scientific methods are applied to real environmental questions and how laboratory research can contribute to understanding challenges involving resources, sustainability, and environmental quality. I gained exposure to professional research procedures, laboratory environments, and the role of scientific analysis in supporting environmental research and decision-making. This internship strengthened my interest in environmental chemistry and in applied scientific research that connects laboratory work with real-world environmental problems.

Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry

Research Intern
July 1–31, 2026

My internship at the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry gave me further exposure to professional chemical research and helped me better understand the connection between fundamental chemistry, experimental methods, and industrial applications. The experience was especially valuable because it showed me that industrial chemistry is not simply laboratory chemistry performed on a larger scale. Translating chemical ideas into practical applications also requires attention to efficiency, materials, processing conditions, safety, reproducibility, and real-world constraints. This internship strengthened my interest in chemical engineering and applied chemistry, particularly in research that connects scientific understanding with practical technological development.

Skills Developed Through Research and Projects

Through research, engineering projects, competitions, and internships, I have begun developing experience in:

Experimental preparation
Scientific observation
Data collection
Laboratory work
Scientific reading
Problem solving
Prototype development
Iterative design
Research communication
Team collaboration
Project planning

I am still at the beginning of my scientific education, but these experiences have helped me understand the kind of work I want to pursue in the future.

Future Direction

At university, I hope to study in an environment where rigorous science, research, and engineering can reinforce one another. I am especially drawn to programs that allow undergraduate students to participate in laboratory research early, work across traditional disciplinary boundaries, and connect theoretical knowledge with experimentation and design.

My current interests include chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, physics, environmental engineering, and applied mathematics. Over time, I hope to develop these interests through interdisciplinary research and hands-on projects that combine strong technical foundations with practical value.

In the long term, I would like to contribute to scientific and engineering work that addresses real-world problems and leads to useful materials, technologies, or systems. For me, the most exciting problems are those that require both understanding and building.

Learn the science. Test the idea. Build something useful.
