AWARDS

Selected Academic Honors and Awards

Academic competitions have played an important role in my development by allowing me to explore chemistry, physics, mathematics, scientific research, and interdisciplinary problem solving beyond the standard school curriculum. These experiences have challenged me to work on unfamiliar problems, think across disciplines, and develop greater confidence in analytical reasoning.

Chemistry

Silver Medal — 57th Chemistry Olympiad, 2025

Excellence Award — Chemistry Education Division, 2025

Second Prize — Hanoi City Excellent Student Competition in Chemistry, Grade 9

These competitions strengthened my chemical reasoning and deepened my interest in experimental and applied chemistry.

Physics

Gold Award — British Physics Olympiad (BPhO), 2026

Preparing for physics competitions strengthened my ability to translate physical situations into mathematical models and reason through unfamiliar problems.

Mathematics

Gold Medal — UK Mathematics Trust, 2025

High Distinction — ICQ, 2024

Mathematics competitions have helped me develop greater confidence in abstraction, pattern recognition, and structured problem solving.

Research and Innovation

Gold Award — International Science and Invention Fair 2025 – Offline Competition

Awarded for a research project on the development of a soothing gel formulated with perilla essential oil and aloe vera.

Gold Award — ABS, 2024–2025

These experiences allowed me to combine scientific knowledge with experimentation, product development, and practical problem solving.

Interdisciplinary and Academic Recognition

Three Awards — World Youth Economic Forum Competitions

Two Outstanding Student Awards

These recognitions reflect my broader interest in interdisciplinary learning and academic engagement beyond individual subjects.

What Competitions Mean to Me

I value competitions because they expose me to problems that are often more unfamiliar, open-ended, and demanding than routine classroom exercises. Chemistry competitions have strengthened my ability to reason through chemical concepts, physics competitions have trained me to translate real situations into mathematical models, and mathematics competitions have improved my ability to recognize structure and work with abstraction.

Together, these experiences have helped me become more comfortable moving between disciplines and approaching problems from different perspectives. While the awards are meaningful milestones, the deeper value of competition has been learning how to remain persistent, think carefully, and continue working when the path to a solution is not immediately clear.
